The Chugach Range surrounding Valdez, Alaska is the most incredible mountain range I've ever seen. My career as a member of the U.S. Ski Team, extreme skier, and ski/ kayak film participant has provided me with the privilege of visiting some of the premier ski, kayak and ice climbing destinations of the world. In the end, the Chugach Range is still the most impressive. The Chugach’s unique combination of young, raw and powerful peaks, gently sloping glaciers, snowfall that often exceeds 1000 inches per year and beautiful wilderness rivers is unmatched on this planet. The power of the Chugach experience is evident in the faces and words
of our guests at the end of each day of activities. We enjoy listening
to their words – almost as much as we enjoy participating in
the activities with them. What is it that our guests like most about
Alaska and the Chugach Range? Is it the immense scale, the spectacular
beauty, the whopping annual snowfall, the unlimited and diverse skiable
